Ah, never came across this 'til just now. Absolutely awesome post. I hope that in 5-10 years I can do one of my own, because at the moment my venues are limited to: Pukekohe, Wellington Stadium, Basin, TSB Arena and Manawatu Stadium. Oh and Yarrows Park, which is awesome. Coming next week: Sandown Raceway

Ooooh, and in response to a punter on <a HREF="http://www.sportsfreak.co.nz/forum/forum-posts.asp?TID=2894&PN=1&TPN=1" rel="nofollow">LB's site</A>, here's the ones that missed out:

Mount Smart - well, have YOU been there? I quite enjoyed Iggy + Stooges @ the BDO, though
North Harbour Stadium - there's a cool remote controlled car track outside, though
Stamford Bridge - I went when it was under contruction, was like sitting on a building site
Cake Tin - it's good, though
Flaminio Stadium, Rome - for Ireland v Italy. I have seen every Irish pub in Rome, now though
The old Athletic Park - the Mallard Stand WAS steep, eh? And worryingly rusty around the back
Selhurst Park - Wimbledon v Blackburn didn't do it for me
Galpharm stadium, Huddersfield - grim. I did get pretty drunk here though, too
Ashton Gate - weird seeing the All Blacks in a fairly trad football stadium
Porrit stadium, Hamilton - this one only just missed out

LB - I've never been to the Basin. It's a shocking omission.

Driven around it. Doesn't count, I know.

BTW Klusner is one of my favorite Cricketers ever, I thought he was awesome.

I went to the MCG for a Aus / SA one-dayer. SA won, and Zulu got a 5-for.

Crowd was around 60k and for the last hour it seemed empty.

BTW, you can’t have a list like that without including the Basin.

Cheers Jrod - no doubt your MCG would feature on this list if I'd been there for a match - but I've only done the tour - got me picture taken under the 'underarm' mural. At the time it was being remodelled for the Commonweath games and the old stand had been torn down! It's massive, though eh, I really need to get back to Melbourne soon...

I DID make it to the Melbourne Cup. Flemington's pretty impressive too - I went the year there was a frickin dust storm, as featured in 'Kenny'. That was a fun day...
